Rosy Reds (Orange Tuffies)

The Rosy Red is essentially an orange-colored Fathead Minnow. This color variation occurs naturally, but rarely.

Fish farmers in Arkansas have successfully bred a pure strain of these minnows. However, because of their recessive genetic traits, successive generations in your pond may lose some of their coloration.

Rosy Red Advice:

Stocking rates and all other recommendations are identical to those of Tuffies: we recommend stocking about 5 to 10 pounds per Surface Acre in new ponds without a predator population.
