Keystone Koi Color Pellets are a complete diet that feature the color enhancing supplement Spirulina which is a natural pigment that promotes vibrant coloration in the skin of Koi. These extruded floating pellets also contain stable Vitamin C and Brewers Yeast to help improve immune function and tissue growth. High Levels of marine protein sources are incorporated into this feed to maximize palatability and digestion. This and more makes it an ideal diet for mature Koi over 8”.

Feeding: Only feed what the fish will eat in less than 5 minutes. If possible, scoop out any uneaten pellets at the end of the feeding period to prevent an accumulation of excess nutrients in the water. Avoid over-feeding because it can cause an accumulation of excess nutrients, which can promote weed & algae growth. If water quality deteriorates, you should decrease feeding amount or frequency until it improves. Begin feeding these pellets twice a week in the spring when the water temperature goes above 50°F. Increase feeding rate to once a day when the water reaches 60°F. If desired, feedings can be increased to 2 or 3 times a day when temperatures are 70°F+, but be sure to monitor water quality at high feeding rates. As the water cools in the fall, decrease the feeding schedule accordingly until the water temperature drops below 50° Fahrenheit. Discontinue feeding altogether during the cold weather months when Koi become inactive.
