Question: turtles, goldfish & crawfish?

i have a red eared slider (6") that needs an anchored floating platform to dry & sun himself on, anything come to mind?are crawfish a problem for this mix?i was thinking of catching them locally. what is a good plant for turtles to feed on,?my lillys are always getting munched by him. i,ve a 700 gal. preformed pond/ with 4 shelves, total depth 18" deep.
